SHP Definition
Small hydro is the development of hydroelectric power on a scale serving a small community or industrial plant. SHP plants have generally a generating capacity of up to 10 megawatts (MW).
SHP Applicability
Typically companies and/or urban areas located near a river, brook, and/or stream with good water flow (running of water) and a head (height of fall of water) of one meter or more can exploit SHP based renewable energy for own use and/or put rest on the Net.
Several thousands of locations apply already for the BENELUX.
EVOLION’s Services
Evolion performs feasibility studies in support of companies, government instances, and individuals (e.g. typically private properties) who are interested into Small Hydro Power based renewable energy exploitation.
Multiple technologies (e.g. from hydro-dynamic screws, traditional water wheels to contemporary water wheels) are typically considered during the feasibility studies and a most economically viable technology recommended.
Upon positive feasibility study recommendation, Evolion can fulfil multiple roles during their implementation / realisation steps depending on the needs of the Customer.
Typical roles Evolion fulfil are: project manager, project lead, advisor, complete implementation (integrator), operations & maintenance support post realisation, co-investor.
Evolion has extensive experience with and /or has multiple technologies in his portfolio of solutions for which it is reseller/distributor in the BENELUX and several other European countries (e.g. Ukraine).
